The Rochester Regional Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce that
their first annual “Building a Better Future” resource campaign will take place
in October which is Michigan’s Chamber of Commerce month. This four-
week campaign is an effort to secure business sponsors for Chamber programs,
events and publications, as well as attract new members and member renewals.

The City of Rochester Mayor, Jeffrey T. Cuthbertson said, “The Rochester
Regional Chamber is a strong advocate for business owners in the
Rochester area and Chamber membership is a smart investment for anyone in
the business community. I am glad that the Rochester Regional Chamber
is taking this campaign to the public.”

Chamber membership is open to individuals, entrepreneurs, businesses
and corporations of all sizes, and nonprofit organizations. Students
and Oakland University alumni receive a discounted membership rate.

The Rochester Regional Chamber of Commerce is Oakland County’s largest
chamber with almost 1,500 business members and its dynamic programming
averages 12 events per month giving people ample opportunity to meet
and network. Bryan K. Barnett, City of Rochester Hills Mayor said that the (Building a Better Future)
“campaign has a resounding impact on our residents quality of life. Recommitting
to our shared success as a business community is something I strongly
believe in.”

Being part of the Chamber allows its members access to free monthly
classes such as developing or updating a business plan, starting a business,
marketing your business or product, or improving and managing your
company. The resource campaign also supports sponsorship and marketing
opportunities offering exposure for businesses that reach thousands of prospective customers.

Charter Township of Oakland Township Manager James Creech stated,
“In my many years in municipal management, it has been my experience
that an active and engaged Chamber of Commerce is a necessity in promoting a
vibrant business climate in the community. The Greater Rochester area
has benefited from the efforts of the RRCC, and continued and increased
support of their efforts in these economic times is needed more now than
ever.”
